You slowly walked down your street. It was a beautiful day and you wanted to make the most of it, so you decided to take a nice walk. "What a nice day, I wish everyday was like this." You sighed. Oh well, at least you got to enjoy today. Where to go, where to go. It was a tough decision. There was always the small coffee shop you liked to stop by to talk with your good friend Lukas. But then there was also the park, where you would just sit by the pond and watch the fish and birds. You sighed and turned yourself toward the park. When you reached the park, you noticed another man sitting where you usually sit. Oh, looks like I have company today. You smiled and reached the pond. "Hi there! Do you mind if I sit with you?" 

The man shook his head and looked up at you. "No, I don't mind. Please do." He had pretty brown eyes. "What's your name?" 

"I'm (Name). What's yours?" You smiled at him as you sat beside him. 

"My name's Kaoru. It's a pleasure to meet you, (Name)." He stated. "I like your name. It's very pretty." 

You blushed a little. No one ever told you your name was pretty! "Thank you! I like your name too." He's kind. And a little cute. You watched as a fish jumped out of the water to eat a fly and laughed. You'd always liked watching the fish. 

Kaoru turned to look at you. "Do you enjoy watching the fish?" 

You nodded and watched as another fish jumped. "Yeah, I like watching fish for some reason. They amuse me." You shrugged. "Well, I guess they also calm me down when I'm having a rough time." You smiled again and closed your eyes. 

Kaoru nodded. "Alright." He leant back on his hands and watched the fish again. "Um, (Name)?" 

You opened your eyes and turned your head to look at him. "Yes?" 

"What would you say if someone told you they watched you before the day they met you?" 

You blinked. It was an odd question, but you didn't want to reply too rashly. "I'd ask why they didn't come out and talk to me before that day. Why?" 

Kaoru took a deep breath before replying. "Because I've been watching you sit here and watch the fish... And... I guess I was a little too shy to come speak to you." 

You smiled. "I thought I saw someone behind the trees. It's fine. I wouldn't have minded if you came and talked with me." 

Kaoru nodded and you spent the rest of the day talking about various things. It turned out you two were very much alike. 

"Oh, it's getting dark. I better go home. Bye Kaoru. It was nice meeting you!" You stood up and started walking away.

"Nice to meet you too, (Name). Meet me here tomorrow?" 

You nodded. "Yeah, sounds good!" And ran home. You met Kaoru every day in the park after that.
